How much gravel do I need?
To calculate the amount of gravel you need, the calculator determines the area you’re covering and multiplies it by the depth of gravel. Because depth is normally measured in inches while length and width are measured in feet, the calculator converts the depth to feet before calculating the volume.
The result is shown in cubic yards, which is a common unit used when ordering bulk landscaping materials.
